Well, it's a personal preference. If you don't have files that you mind losing, then a second storage device should not be necessary. Chances are that one device would be enough. All I know is that when something happens in Windows, it's usually not good. I choose to error on the side of caution because of some of the severe crashes I've experienced which resulted in unacceptable performance in Windows. Happy New Year to you and your family.
