I have a Hitachi 6 gig Compact Flash microdrive. It works equally well with the classic and the mPower, whether or not the unit is turned off when I insert the drive. I haven't used a 5 gig PCMCIA microdrive with either BN yet, but I really like the CF type. It is a type II CF card.
