Hi Sam, The network name is case sensitive so you may want to check it again on the PC.
I would recommend that you contact your nearest Humanware office for technical support if you don't have any joy soon. Wheen I type my computer name into the server prompt, it says "cannot find the network resource." I don't type a username or password to log into my PC, but I'm using XP, so it must log into some account. I can't even get far enough on the BrailleNote where it asks for the username or password. > > Sam > > Sarah Cranston <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Sam, > > One thing I can tell you is that your workgroup has nothing to do with the BrailleNote, or it's connection to your network. First, make sure you are connected to the network. I like to do this by going to a website, then once on the web page, exiting out of Keyweb and back to the main menu. Then try to connect to your network. As Dean mentioned, the "server name" is the name of your computer. Be sure the cases match. In other words, if your computer's name is in upper case, type it in upper case on the BN. If you don't have a user name and password on the PC, just press enter at those prompts on the BN. Finally, at the prompt about saving login data, (sorry, I don't have one here to get the exact wording), be sure to say "no." If all goes well, this should get you on to your network. > > HTH > > Sarah > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Samuel Joehl > Sent: Monday, August 01, 2005 12:28 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Braillenote] Joining the BrailleNote to the Network > > > Hello, > > I am running into some confusion as to how to get my BrailleNote onto the network. So far, I have run the network setup wizard and enabled file and printer sharing. I've assigned a workgroup name for my computer. This should take care of everything on the PC end. > > I then go to the BN and type my computer name into the server prompt. I get the response "cannot find the network resource."
