Hi Sandi, Yes, you need to do a quick press and release of the reset, while holding the letter L, or dots 123. But, what amazes me, if you plug in your Ac adapter, it should say something. I wonder if your battery went dead. Plug it in, and leave it for a few minutes. Then, take out the Ac adapter, and see if it says, "Ac Adapter Off." Kind Regards, Rhonda Clark
