Hello Dean

Thank you, thank you so much. It's back up and running now and I'm very relieved. Because that reset option had a big caution in the User Guide, I didn't want to use it without guidance since I'm so new with the
BN.

This is a very nifty machine and I'm having lots of fun learning.

By the way, I did also send a support request to Humanware via the website as I was very panicked when I couldn't get this fixed. If it ends up with you, just ignore it now or let whoever would get it know to just ignore it.;

Thanks much.

Jean

Hello Jean and list,

I would press record with reset when the mPower gets in the state where the
battery is completely flat and a normal reset will not work after the
BrailleNote has been connected to power.
The reason why we don't usually recommend this reset is because you are more likely to lose data if a file is open or you are in the middle of a database
operation, due to the nature of the reset.

Subject: [Braillenote] problem turning on mPower

I've had my Mpower BT for three days now and have my first unsolvable
problem.

When I first unpacked it, I plugged in the AC adapter and let it charge until it said 100%. Then I removed the charger and have been using it
while reading the built-in User Guide and experimenting with the Word
Processor. Based on what I had read on the battery, I thought I would get a Low Battery warning and then a Critical Battery warning before the
unit went flat. However, I was reading something and the Low Battery
warning popped up and then the unit immediately seemed to shut down.
The display faded and there was nothing. I did shut it off at that
point. Then I plugged in the AC adapter but the unit did not come back
to life. I waited a while, turned the switch to off and back on, but
still nothing. I tried the reset button on the left. Then I tried
pressing dots 4-5-6 and pressing reset. Still nothing.

Did I really do something wrong here?

Jean
