Hi Jonathan
You said some people have been contacted privately regarding the mPower
battery testing, etc. Are you contacting specific people based on
product serial numbers, etc., or how are you determining who to collect
data from?
If you do confirm that anything is to be done, are you able to correlate
the fix to specific units based on production timing, etc.? Hope that
makes sense.
Jean

Hi Paul, the behaviour you are reporting is definitely not typical,
but it
is happening for a few of our customers. We're spending a great deal
of
time doing analysis to find out why some units are experiencing this,
and
we will get this resolved. We have our theories as to what is
happening,
but it's not really helpful for me to post what would only be educated
speculation at this time. Typically, you can turn off the mPower and
the
battery is likely to stay at about the same percentage level
overnight. The
issues with the level indicator are also being investigated. Plenty of
resource is being allocated to this investigation, and I've no doubt
we'll
get to the bottom of it. To those mPower early adopters who are
experiencing some issues, our apologies and we appreciate your
patience.
Most of you will already have had private email from us as we collect
as
much data as we can. For a brand new piece of hardware, things are
going
really well overall, and we will iron out this wrinkle that is present
on
some units.
Thanks,
Jonathan Mosen

Once mine got to nine percent, it stayed there for 24 hours. I was
able to
read probably eight more chapters of my book and in the end, I used
the mp3
player to get it to go dead. With the MPower, once it gets to nine
percent,
it never goes lower; so you really have no idea how much of a charge
you
have left until you get the battery critical message. It took me quite
a
while to get the battery critical message.

Hi, Pam. What I am interested in with MPower users is how much does
their
battery drain when they don't use the unit? Mine is at nine percent,
so
I
assume I will bet the messsage and then I will be able to charge it. I
wonder if it is the new memory chip and the alarm in combination that
drains the battery more than with the classic bn's.
