Kylee, the point isn't that I can't open the file. First, I don't want to
have to use a computer to do that. That defeats the purpose of portability.
The issue is the fact that the network card seems to make a difference in
the speed at which the list of files is shown.

though I'd owned a Classic BT for a few years before that. Could you not
open a large file if you connect the unit to a PC and use Windows
Explorer?
Might this not be faster for large files and folders?

issue. The size of my folder is 97.5 megabytes. See, I told you it was
huge. Yours is small in comparison, so yes, I would give it time to open.
Do let us know if inserting the network card in the compact flash card
slot
