sure you can, but depending on the size of your house and obstacles you may need to add repeaters and other access points if you want to have the range of the belkin. i can use my braillenote wifi in the back yard, on the front porch, or even in the garage with the door closed. i do know that by the way because i have an 802.11b networked mp3 player that i hook up in my garage and can close the door.
