Isaac;
My card reader has 4 slots. How can I tell if I have a slot for a sd card? 
There is a tiny slot, maybe about half an inch long.

Many card readers can read up to seven or nine different types of cards. 
I'd think SD is amongst those formats. I looked at my card readers and I 
see four slots on all three of them and one reader even has a USB port to 
boot! so what makes you think a SD card won't be of any use?
