Peter, you can download BRF files, which are braille files that might be refered to as Duxbury files by your computer. Your computer won't be able to read those files unless you have a program that will translate BRF files in to text, but since you have a braille note and probably want to read them on it there is no problem. The braille note can read brf files perfectly, and if you really want it to it can also convert between text and braille, so you can read in the format of your choice. Just download whatever book files you want and use the method you normally use to transfer files to your braille note.
If you actually want to use your braille note on the Internet you will have to contact Humanware to purchase an ethernet card for your braille note, which can go in the compact flash slot. I don't currently remember the card that works correctly for the BrailleNote or i would tell you myself. You would have to make sure that no special log in software is used in your dorm, because if special software is required it won't work on your BrailleNote. Last, if you want to find books in TXT format, which u called aske--that is correctly spelled ASCII, you should either investigate the demmo or public domain books from bookshare, or look for books from Gutenberg. http://www.pjbsware.demon.co.uk/gutenberg.htm is an address for easy download of public domain books available to anyone in the world for free and everything is available in TXT format. There are thousands of books available, but they will obviously be old, since those are the books for which copyrights have run out, or for which there were no copyrights in the first place. Braille Note users can always read these in braille by putting them on there braille note and either lettting it translate on the fly, or convert the TXT files to BRF.
