Your statement is no longer true.  The BN mPower works well with all of my 
headphones.  I can hear quite well with all of them and I don't have to 
crank up the volume.

I have heard that earbuds can damage your hearing so I wouldn't recommend 
using them at all.

Your post applies to the BN classic but not to the BN mPower.
