You can use enter with dots 4 6 to turn music up or down when streaming or
using FM radio. So far, so good on my end.

My speech is at 5 and it is definitely not loud enough.
I tried to listen to the fm radio and couldn't get anything but did not
take the time with it because that is one of the things I probably won't
use.. I preffer streaming audio from the internet, that way I can have
music I like from anywhere in the world.
Now how cool is that?

I find that the Braille Note M-power does a much better job with
headphones than does the classic BN. When one goes to review voice,
Option O, then R, one can find five basic speech settings there. The
default is three. Should one turn it up to five, one has more volue in the
headphones. I've been using a pair of radio shack headphones and Bose
headphones and they have worked quite well with my M-power. I think there
is much better selection for headphones with the M-power than with the
classic. One time I had problems hearing with ear buds. The M-power
voice was coming through both buds but the music sounded lopsided. The
headphones have been fine though!

Hi Stacey,
I have found that the BN does not provide enough power output to drive
many kinds of headphones very well. I have a cheap pair oof Sony over
the ear headphones that work well with a Walkman and with CD players,
but not with the BN. I think that the BN should be treated like one of
those small MP3 players, and you need to use headphones that do not
require much power output from the source. I have found that the buds
that come with it work very well, and you should probably stay with
buds, even though I do not like the way they feel in my ears.
