Hi Paul and All, Well, of course, grin, I had to delete my partnership and try things the way you suggested, and they did indeed work much better. Guess, seeing as it worked right away on one occasion without my having to change the connection from Ethernet to USB, I wasn't taking care of that step. But, changing the ActiveSync connection to USB and then performing the reset did allow the new partnership dialogue to come up on most every try. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Holliman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, January 28, 2006 6:07 AM Subject: RE: [Braillenote] PK Active Sync KS 7
Carl, Mine's working fine with KS 7 and the new Keysync. I agree with Vicky's observation that it's best to set up the partnership with USB, then when it works, you can connect via Wireless Ethernet from then on no problem. Must admit that I don't get the problem Vicky mentioned about having to connect several times before I can set up the partnership. I approach it like this: connect PK to the desktop machine via USB. Then set ActiveSync via USB on the PK. I immediately then do a c3-c4 reset, and as KS comes to life, Active Stink should pop up a window on your desktop machine, and you can set up the partnership without it dropping out. Cheers. Paul. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Carl Simmons Sent: 27 January 2006 20:24 To: Braillenote List Subject: [Braillenote] PK Active Sync KS 7 Has anyone been able to use active sync with the PK after installing KS 7 and the KS7 version of Keysync? I have tried to connect via bluetooth. Usb and serial without any luck. The mPower works fine using the same configuration. Any help out there??
