Carl, I'm absolutely elated to hear you can't change the comm port for bluetooth. I have exactly the same problem where the com port is out of range and I was beginning to think I was the only one in the world experiencing this.
I am using the Belkin software at the moment and there appears to be no way whatsoever of changing the port assigned for bluetooth, and mine is aroudn com 14 or higher.
