You say you have a pcmcia card and it goes into an adapter. Not
familiar with that, but you might try putting the card into the
MPower and then do a reset with
no keys held down. Then try to access the card. You may not get
a message about the card, but you may see it in the list of
drives when you start something
such as the word processor or file manager. Pcmcia cards can
sometimes be a bit tricky in the MPower although compact flash
cards and sd cards which fit in
the rear slots work fine.
No guarantees here, but certainly worth trying.
