Rhonda:

Although it might have seemed as though I was putting down Alex that is
simply not the case. Ideas were not the problem I had with his post as a
technical person I would never frown on that. The problem I have is and
was a general one. Many people on this list have BrailleNotes for vary
specific reasons aside from the fact that we like them or need Braille.

However Screen readers are now available for off the shelf PDA's cell
phones are becoming more an more accessible. HumanWare has a product
that can do a lot of what Alex would like except it doesn't have Braille
in it.

One of the problems I have personally with this list is that the
BrailleNote family is always turning up to not have this or that I think
we are all guilty of that and in many cases maybe those needs could be
better met with different technology. Personally I wish someone would
come out with a fully accessible notebook with a build-in Braille
display. I also wish that the cost of displays would come down so that
those of us who need and want them could afford them. The wish list goes
on and on and somewhere somebody needs to meet the needs of as many
customers as possible or they don't stay in business.

A note for Alex you didn't need to apologize and if I was a little to
hard I apologize for that. I work in an environment where accessibility
is taken vary seriously for all disabilities not just blind and we
support multiple handicaps ups wrong word.

Have a good day

Jonathan, I'm really glad you wrote that message. I, for one, and tired
of the put downs of ideas on this list. I found the message productive,
and fascinating.
