Hi, Well, after what seems like an eternity, I finally received my transplant yesterday and am very pleased with it overall, especially the improvement in the processor speed! However, I've got a couple of questions if someone could help.
1. Twice within this first 24-hour period, the unit has frozen requiring a simple reset. Unfortunately, on coming back to life, the speech has been turned on (I normally only use Braille) and I've been prompted to input various settings again such as Braille grade preference, modem country etc. Is this expected behaviour? 2. After the transplant, the Braille keyboard is a lot noisier. Again, have other people found this or, as I suspect, is it down to my local supplier's workshop - this is, perhaps, borne out by the fact that the card slots are slightly 'stiffer' in use than they previously were? 3. I seem to be having the low quality/volume recording problem that others experienced but which, I think, someone found a solution to. If that person is still around, I'd very much appreciate it if they could post the remedy to me, please. Thanks in advance for any help.
