Richard, I have a classic, too. What I am saying, with the M
Power, it has to be plugged in. You and I have the classic. You
have to unplug it to drain it.

recallibration
Rhonda, we are at cross purposes here.
I do not have an mPower. It is just a classic.
With KeySoft 7, you cannot start the battery drain mode without
it
plugged into the adapter.
One of the joys of having the same software on all the units I
guess.
I appreciate your attempts at sorting this out, but this is
proving
to be far more of a headache than KeySoft 7 is worth.
Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard:
The M Power runs calibration differently.
1. Fully charge your VoiceNote by leaving the Adapter
connected
for at least 3 hours. Check by pressing Function with O, then
P,
that the capacity is showing 100%.
2. Disconnect the AC Adapter from the VoiceNote.
3. From the Main Menu, press Function with O, Read with I,
then F.
4. You'll get the great message about "I'm talking until my
battery goes flat. This repetition is enough to drive me crazy.
How about you?"
5. To start the "battery drain" mode, place the VoiceNote in a
place where it won't indeed "drive you crazy", and allow it to
continue until the unit completely freezes. During this process
the VoiceNote will first report many times that the "battery is
low", eventually followed by "battery is critical".
