Penny: I got a loan through my local bank Alliance Bank NA which happens to be my employer. Have you gone to your local bank where you live in Nebraska? It's our version of buying a car. Then there's lions clubs. Sometimes they can help--or a loan from your credit union might help. The private sector sometimes can be more helpful than the public sector. It's worth a shot. And then again there's POWERBALL!!!

I realize mpower is horribly expensive to just plunk down. And this question may not be germane to the list. But are there low-cost loan programs for such things for the blind? Could some of you who would love the m-power manage to pay back a lo-cost loan for it within, say, two years? Just asking. If it's too far afield, throw me out on my tin ear. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
