Dear Ann, I've had problems with cards not being recognized and I have discovered a service reset will fix the problem. Hold down the record and reset button at the same time. The clock will have to be set.

He had the WIFI card in his PCMCIA slot because it doesn't : work in the back. When we attempted to go to my web site,: : : http://home.eznet.net/~akp, : : my student typed home and pressed enter by mistake. The BN froze and : had to be reset. After the reset, it began clicking and clicking. : When the card was removed, the clicking stopped. We attempted to go : to the web again, and his card was not recognized in either the back : or the side slots. He got an 'ignore' message followed by PC Card not : recognized. He did a plain reset, but am thinking that he may have to : do a 4-5-6. Not sure though, didn't want to tell him something if I : was unsure. What should we do? He has a BN-MPower. : : TIA, : Ann P. : : -- : Ann K.
