I wonder if it's occurred to anyone that there are reasons Keymail can't handle
HTML at this time? There are obviously reasons, since HW would probably have
already implemented the feature if it was possible without completely redoing
the entire Email system on the BN. I suspect it has to do with the fact that
Keyweb and Keymail are two totally different programs. Keymail actually uses
Keyword to display Email, so it's no surprise that it can't handle HTML. You
would get the same result by opening an HTML file in regular Keyword as you do
when reading an HTML Email in Keymail, lots of code with the text buried
within. Keyweb, on the other hand, is designed strictly to handle HTML, and if
you save an HTML Email as an HTML file and open that file in Keyweb, the
results can be quite good.

I'm almost afraid to send this, as there seems to be a lot of emotion tied up
in this thread, but I hope to shed a little light on a possible reason why
things are the way they are. Keymail just isn't as robust as Email clients
that are available on a PC, and it does require a few work-arounds. Still, I
continue to be impressed at just how much I can push the envelope with a
program that probably wasn't designed to handle several hundred daily Emails.

Just some thoughts from a very heavy Keymail user. And I sincerely hope this
doesn't provoke anyone's anger, that was never my intention.

Bingo! It's highly unlikely that mainstream viruses could penetrate a
closed architecture such as Keysoft, so I implore those out there to
stop making excuses on behalf of HumanWare and let them get on with real
work like support for html email.

Hello,
If viruses have not been written for windows ce, then how would
this occur? The keymail program would be expanded to allow for
html emails, but nothing is being done to ce, and if the web
browser already has the capability, and there have not been any
viruses, then how would this change things?
It seems to me, that viruses would not be possible, so if you
have more information on this, let me know, so I can understand
better.
Thanks,
Robert
