This is Joseph. The instructions for each model are as follows:

1. Install your product key:
At the Utilities/application program, naviate to the drive/flder/keysoft 7.0
product key (number).exe where the number represents the 5 digit serial

reset your machine with dots 10203. After few moments, the startup message
will appear. Hit enter, and at the completion message, hit enter.
2. Boot loading process: The first process involves initialization. Go to
Main Menu and press dots 4-5 (JK) while holding down reset. This will start
the upgrade. This will load the .bin file into memory.
3. Upgrading Process: Then, it steps through upgrading your machine. It
takes approximatly 25-30 minutes.
4. Reboot and completion: After the upgrade is complete, the BN will restart
and the machine will boot to the new version of KeySoft.

must perform C3+C4+dots 1-2-3 reset.
Initialization and startup process: After you have installed the key, at the
Utilities/application prompt, navigate to the folder where the upgrade file
resides(this should be none directory). Hit enter on the program. Hit enter
once more, and the upgrade will start.
3. Reboot and completion: After the upgrade is completed, BNPK will restart
and will announce the new version of KeySoft.

requirements apply.
2. Boot loading process: At the Main Menu, press reset+dots 4-6 (JL) keys.
mPower will show up bootloader on the display. At this prompt, press the
letter b (number 2 on QT). After a sound is heard, press Reset+dots 4-5
(JK). The upgrade should start.
3. Upgrade process: It'll take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to upgrade
your unit.

There are excellent upgrading instructions on the HW website:

www.HumanWare.com/7_0

This includes the exact steps for installing the product key.
There is also a step in there somewhere involving pressing the number 2
right after one of the resets. I can't remember all the details, it's been
a while since I installed the update.
If you still don't want to try this without tech support's assistance, I
understand. But if you want to try again this weekend, I'll send you the
instructions privately.
