[Braillenote] Observations on 7.0 for the Classic

Hi, folks: First, let me say that I love my BrailleNote BT32, 
which I've had since May, 2003.  I use it every day.  When it was 
in for repair, last March, I was lost without it.  I say all of 
that, because, when you read what's coming next, you'll think I'm 
very negative.
It took me a long time to go from 5.1 to the 6.11 upgrade, but, 
when I did it, I was reasonably glad I'd done it.  It sure made 
sending and receiving email a lot easier, and navigating the 
Internet was better.  There were aa few issues, such as 
downloading books, which posed challenges, but, when I heard that 
they'd been addressed in the forthcoming 7.0 upgrade, I was 
happy.  I didn't care about the games; I bought the upgrade for 
the fixes.
I installed 7.0 a couple weeks again.  Immediately, I noticed 
that my Flash Disk, which had had about 5MB worth of space on it, 
was almost full! Therefore, I moved some folders to the CF card I 
had.  However, I must tell you that I have had more frustration 
with this upgraade than with any other.  The problem is, there's 
too much of it! It fills the Flash disk, as well as the Keysoft 
System Disk.  It causes the BN to lock up very often, either in 
the middle of downloading email, or trying to link on the web.  
The only way to get out of it is to do a reset.  I have had to do 
as many as ten resets a day, something which can never be good 
for a unit.  Also, the procedure for downloading large documents 
is the same.  The only difference is, since there's less room now 
the BN locks up more.  You can't send as many attachments, 
because there's not as much room on the Flash disk, which is 
where they're stored, until they get sent.  If I had any hair 
left, I'd have pulled it all out by now thanks to this upgrade.  
As I said before, it's too big for the Classic.  I wish there was 
a way to get rid, for instance, of the games, including removing 
them from the Windows folder.  I'm not picking on the gaames, 
although I, personally, have no use for them.  Actually, I think 
that, if you're going to continue to make upgrades for the 
classic, they should be modular.  You'd pay for the whole thing, 
but choose the parts you want.  But, frankly, there's too much on 
the claassic as is, and any more would just do more damage.  
Since I can't reverse the upgrade, I have to live in a state of 
nervousness, being afraid that the constant resetting will ruin 
my machine.
I'm glad that HW tried to help us Classic users, but I fear that 
they've done more harm than good.  Sorry that this was so
