Rusty:

That amount of money for a car adapter is grossly out of line for what
is needed. HumanWare could manufacture one and sell for less than 40 if
they felt inclined.

Hi folks,

I wonder whether any other configurable car adaptors will work.

What is so special about the Igo that allows them to charge $150.00
for
it?
Many years ago my father used to own a car adaptor which had a variable
voltage switch and removable tips and I don't think he paid that much;
at least I hope he didn't.

I've recently seen rechargable battery packs for portable DVD players.
They simply plug in to the power port for your car DVD. I didn't look
too closely to see if the tips were interchangable, but something like
that might work as well.

Hello,
I have accidentally put the wrong tip in when I was trying to figure out
the right one at the store, and I had to perform a reset.
This is all I had to do, it did not harm the unit.
It is very easy to figure out what tip is for what device, and if you go
to the Sendero website, you can see what tips work for several of the
devices, such as the braillenote, gps.
