Hi. I emailed the author, and she said she had forgotten a crucial hint. To find the tunnel in the mountainside, go deep into the forest, as if you're going to the cottage. Just before you get there, go northeast. There won't be anything to tell you to go northeast, but that's what you have to do. After that, you'll go through the tunnel and will find the ice floes.
