This is Jospeh. As Rhonda had pointed out, what version of KeySoft do you have? It depends on whether you have KeySoft 6.1 or earlier. Technical note: Because KeySoft 6.0, 6.10 6.2, and 7.0 is based on Windows CE 4.2, the older BrailleNotes based on KeySoft 7.x, 4.x, and 5.x won't be able to read it. Windows CE 4.2 uses different database structures than Windows CE 2.12.
