Hello Sue,

The male port is the end with the pins. The Female end is made up of holes.

Subject: re: [Braillenote] Braille Blazer

Hello,

I am using the Braille Blazer with my Mpower. I have an Mpower running version 7. I am running it via serial port. I have two adapters on the cord to make it work. On the end of the cord is a 9 pin to 25 pin adapter. Then there is the 25 pin to 25 pin adapter. I never can remember which is male and which is female, but the 25 pin to 25 pin both have the pins which can be felt. My 9 to 25 pin adapter has the holes so I had to add the adapter with pins on both sides so the mpower would connect to the blazer. Then set up the serial parameters on both machines 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity and software handshaking. You also need to select the braille table in the set-up list. I have my page length set to 25 right margin 32 offset 1. Since I don't have the blazer set up right now I can't check the settings. But it does work. Now if I could get bluetooth and the computer to work.

Are any of you using the Braille Blazer, and if so, what is
required? Also, what kind of success are you having?

Thanks in advance.
