This is Joseph. I also have a power adapter for my Western Digital hard
drive. Since this adapter also connects to USB port, this might drain the
battery a lot faster compared when just connect without the adapter.

Hi Stacey,

I have the WD 80GB drive, but I don't have the adapter. I don't see the
need for it. The drive has no battery to charge, so the only reason I can
think of to plug in the drive would be if I had one of those laptops with a
very low-powered USB port, but I could be totally off-base here. Still and
all, I hope these thoughts help. <Grins> Happy day!

Sarah C

Hi all,
I'm planning to order the Western digital hard drive in a few weeks. When I
talked do customer service, they recommended that I may want to get the
adaptor that goes with the drive. How many of you have orderdd the adaptor?
Do you have to charge the drive on a regular basis?
Thanks,
Stacey and Amigo
