Don,
When I buy this drive, does it come with the necessary cable to
connect it to the mpower or do I need to purchase that extra?

this is not correct. The Western Digital has two ports on it.
One is a usb port which goes to whatever device you connect it to
such as the MPower. The
other is for the AC adapter. So, you could run it off the
adapter if you wanted, but you could also run it off the power
via the usb port. This power would
come from the device you are connecting the drive to such as the
MPower.
The adapter has nothing at all to do with usb. It's for those
situations when you want to use the drive with a device that
does not have enough extra power
to run both the device and the drive.

Thank you Joseph Lee.
One last question. The gist of the discussion indicates the
Digital hard
Drive requires a USB connection to the M-Power.
Additionally, I understand, the AC-adaptor for the Drive also
uses a USB
port.
Implicitly, this means you can use both M-Power USB ports without
causing a
BN lock up. Correct?
