I think the battery has to be pretty well discharged before you can start
the recalibration process. Seems to me I remember reading that somewhere.
So perhaps because you started with a full charge, the system didn't know
what you were doing? Just guessing. I wonder what it would do if you used
the f option instead of the r option in support mode. I'll keep reading to
see what others have to say on this.

Subject: [Braillenote] mPower battery calibration
Hi all,
I know, I know. Battery calibration again. But I haven't had to do this
with the mPower till now, and I am utterly baffled. why does it have to
be
plugged in to discharge the battery? The manual says it will start
chattering, but two hours since I started the supposed calibration
process,
it is still not chattering. Here's what I did after checking with the
manual.
1. The unit was already fully charged, and I was going to discharge it the
old way but got the error saying I had to plug it in.
2. I plugged it in, pressed an O chord for the options menu, I chord for
the support mode then r to recalibrate. Is said I am discharging once
then
stopped. when I press space to check status, it says it's been charged
since the time I started this and then says the I am discharging my
battery
message one more time and then stops.
I am really confused about what it is supposed to be doing. Since I know
this has been discussed tons of times, feel free to write me off list. My
email address is

Thanks.
Sherry
