I have found that I need to reformat the sd card that was sent to
me. I managed to install my product key on the sd card only to get
the frozen keyboard routine. Because I don't have the kind of card
reader on my pc that supports the kind of sd card used, I need to
figure out how to move the contents of that sd card so that it can be
reformatted and the contents can be replaced on the sd card. Any
help that you or others can give would be greatly appreciated. I use
my braille note so often for note taking that I hate to have any down time.
Thanks in advance.

Unless things have changed, your bootloader should be on the SD card. It was
on the one sent to me.
You may, however, have to reformat your SD card before it will work.
I would suggest that you download your key, install the key, then try to
begin the upgrade. If the machine seems to stop after the first two steps,
the "reset with 4-6 - wait for beeps then keys 1-2" then you need to
reformat your card.
Ask us for directions if this is the case.

Subject: [Braillenote] upgrade on the sd card
A few weeks ago I received my 7.0 upgrade on a sd card with instructions
for upgrading my unit. I have a braillenote mpower, the bt model. I'm a
bit confused by the procedures. First of all, do I have to download the
product key. Secondly, do I have to download the bootloader?
Any help would be greatly appreciated?
