KC,
The reason all of the incorporation of these audio features is due to something called supply and demand. This is true everywhere including the PC, before windows came out the operating system was not a graphic user interface (GUI), it was a interface that was all text based. But, people wanted pictures, games, audio players, and other features that are more "fun." It is a sad thing that we have our a system, but if it isn't done the companies will go out of business because people won't purchase their products and other companies will make these "fun" features available. There is nothing that can be done, it is the evolution of technology.

Thank you Sharon! I apprecaite your understanding.
(I've invested a great dealofmoney in my Braillenote. If the
upgrades keep pusing voice and sound, I do't kow what I'll do.
COnsequentlym, knowing there are folks out there who WANT the
"BRAILLE" in Braillenote to mean somnething is a blessing. For
the reocrd, I've wondered WHY, since there is a "Voicenote, all
this audio stuff isn't incororated into that Device rather than
the BN.)
