I have never used a Trekker, but I have the BN GPS. I love it. Your son sounds like he would always have his BN with him anyway, so having just one small piece of hardware, the receiver, that does not even need to be plugged into the unit would not be a bother. The BN GPS has more features than any other adaptive GPS out there, or so some reviews I have read have said. The latest version, 3.5, offers even more--automatic route recalculation if the user goes off route, info when the user stops moving, instead of having to request it. It also lets you press SPACE or BACKSPACE instead of entering a Y or N, a nice advantage for a guide dog user. I recommend it.

Subject: [Braillenote] GPS

I hope this is not considered off-topic. Our 13 year old son
uses his
mpower non-stop for almost everything he does. We are
considering getting him a
GPS unit. Can anyone give me some advice or experiences between
the
braillenote device and the trekker? He has read about both of
them. He does use a
guide dog if that makes any difference. Thanks
Wendy
