Hello, I'm going to be traveling in the near future, both on out of town job interviews and vacation. I decided to break down and buy an ethernet card for my mPower. I called human ware to get mine, because I didn't want to look around for one on the internet.
So, I got the card today, and I am slightly baffled. Here are questions. 1. I knew it would have some sort of adaptor for connecting to a phone line, but I'm confused. It has the short cord with a phone type jack on the end. What is supposed to plug into it? I thought it would have an end like a phone/modem cable, and would be plugged into a phone jack, like a modem does. 2. I'd like to test it at home. How do I connect it to my current DSL modem or the phone jack or whatever. Yes, I'm sure some of this is in the manual, but I'm also sure someone here can give briefer more to the point directions. 3. When I do stay in hotels on my travels, usually the hotels with high speed internet, you plug a phone/modem cable into an extra jack on the room phone. How do you accomplish this with the ethernet card? 4. What is the CD that came with it? And if it is software, do I need it, since I won't be using this ethernet card on my PC which already has an ethernet card? again, since I know the discussion of ethernet cards has been discussed often on this list, please feel free to write me privately at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks.
