Well, grin, I really don't know much about this at all. But, I couldn't
resist trying, just for fun.

I think you kind of missed the part where Jonathan talked about using a
sound editor to create a file named startup.wav. Now, seeing as I know
practically zero about creating sound files, I just used the recording
feature on the PK, since I only wanted to try this, not make it permanent.
So, I created a memo file, just one with turning the record button on and
off, and I then renamed that file to startup.wav and put it in my flash
disk/windows
folder.

And, oh, grin, if you want to get your original sound back, which I
certainly did, I deleted that file in the flash disk/windows folder and
performed a regular reset. But,
that didn't bring my original sound back. Guess the BN meant it when it
said it was updating system files. So, I went to the KeySoft system
disk/windows folder and deleted the startup.wav file there; and, thankfully,
when I did a regular reset, the default sound was then brought back.

I just tried it, and it didn't work. I moved my .wav file to
/flash disk/windows and renamed it "Startup.wav". I reset from
the Main Menu, and nothing happened out of the ordinary. What
did I do wrong?
