Alex, regarding standardization, I think Humanware should get the blame!! It should have built the notetaker with a dual voltage transformer. I expected this would have been the case for a product coming out of New Zealand where I believe the 220 voltage is also used. There are many more countries running on 220 volts, so implementing a dual voltage transformer could not have been that difficult. The Japanese do it all the time even on electronics shipped into the United States!!
