Hi list,
I haven't sent a message to the list for ages, but I'm still here,
submerged under a huge pile of messages. I just had to tell you that I
received my new mPower yesterday and I'm thrilled with it! I've owned a
Classic for almost three years, so I don't think the learning curve will
be too steep, but I may well have some questions - watch this space!
I connected to my wireless network with no problems and I love the audio
streaming feature. All my accessories are working perfectly, i.e. a
Transcend 1 gb cf card, a Sandisk 128 mb wifi card and a Sandisk 1 gb USB
thumb drive.
My only slight query regards the battery. Oh no, I hear you cry, not
again! I charged it up for around 4 hours yesterday and left it alone,
which was hard! This morning I did a lot of audio streaming and I had 36%
remaining. Ten minutes later it died, without a "battery is critical"
message. I had been using it quite heavily and I wasn't so concerned
about the battery running down, it's just that it was so unpredictable
(now you hear it, now you don't). I'll keep an eye on the battery and see
how it goes. It may well settle down with use. I think it's a fantastic
product and I'm so glad I finally took the plunge.
