Hello Terry:

First of all, what were the files written on? Were they files that were written on a computer? Did you put these files in a particular folder? If you want to see if the files are there, from the Main Menu, press F, then D for the directory. Go to the folder where you know the file should be. Press Enter at that folder name. At the "file name" prompt, press the space once so that you see "list of files". Press Space with X, so that you see "hidden files". You can space down to see what files are there.

If your files were written on a computer, they will be in grade one, until you translate them. I won't go further until I hear what type of files these are.

Subject: [Braillenote] file name confusion

Hello all,

I just got a braille note classic three days ago and I have a
couple of questions that I hope you all can answer. First, When
I
try to open a file in the word processor it prompts me for a file
name. No matter what I type, even when I'm absolutely sure that
the
file is there, it says the document does not exist, do you want
to
create it? Second, why are all the file names that the braille
note
lists always in grade one braille? Please excuse my lack of
knowledge and experience with the bn. Thanks.

Terry Sanders
