Hi KC,
A thumb drive has no cord. It's only about the size of your
thumb, and fits right into the USB slot, and gets its power from
there. It will use your battery a bit faster then when you don't
have it plugged in. But that's the only way it gets power.
The Western Digital is a little smaller, and much thinner than a
video tape. If I'm off on that, someone correct me. I was never
good with measurements!
HTH,
Rachael

Hello Paul and List,
Does a thumb drive have an electrical cord, so it doesn't tax
the Bn battery? Can you use a thumb drive like the Western
Digital Passport external drive, meaning with or without a cord?
(How big is the Western Digital 80-GB external drive?)
KC
