Yes, I would love a math editor on the BN.

I think people have misunderstood my message. I don't want to separate
any of the present software. What I'm suggesting is if HumanWare
implements software programs like Dancing Dots or Scientific Notebook,
this type of software should be treated the same way foreign languages
are.

As for the record feature, the recordings sound terrible to me. My LG
VX4650 recordings sound much better.

I planned to send myMP in for cleaning and I wanted them to see why the
recording feature sounds so lousy and why the infrared port works
intermittently but I'm waiting until the turn-around time is less than two
weeks.

I agree with you Sarah! Also having to many packages will cause problems for those getting help from Doors or CAP. Instead of answering to our requests, they will mostlikely get us the cheapest unit posible. This would prevent people from having the recording feature if it is seperated from the main features. Most likely they will say it is not needed. I will say, I love it! When I did not have my brailler with me and needed a dr. number, I called and got the number. I turned on the recording feature and repeated the number, while it was on and I had a recording of the number for future use.
If that is not helpful, I sure do not know of anything better!

I love my MPower.
Thanks Humanware for all the good work!

The "bells and whistles" and "extras" are not what causes the BN to have its high price, this is because a Braille display is very expensive. Also, there seems to be no regard for the fact that HW is already working hard to produce the best PDA possible for its market, and that creating a double handful of different units with individualized features would take a massive amount of time and resources that is being spent, instead, on creating new features that can be used by as many people as possible.

Even if I wanted it, which I don't, the suggestion is not possible with the
BN.

I think there should be several options for the BrailleNote, depending on a person's needs. The BN should have a package of basic features included in the unit and then there should be features which individuals could buy which
don't automatically come with the BN. That way, people who need the
"extras" could have them, but people who don't need the "extras" could
choose not to buy them.

The BN is expensive and the more bells and whistles are added to it, the
more expensive it will be.
