Dear Keven,
When you open the document, type y when you are asked if you want to
review the options. Type y when asked if you want to translate into grade
2. You can now edit the document in grade 2, and it will switch it back
when you finish. As a precaution, though, when ever I do this, I always
copy the document to the clipboard before closing because the BN does not
always translate the document correctly, and I have lost whole documents
before.
HTH,
Nicole

Subject: [Braillenote] Editing a word document
Dear BrailleNote Listserv,
I have noticed while editing documents that is transferred from a computer
that is in the format of word document or any format that will also run on
the BrailleNote. I have notice that it will translate into Grade 2
without a problem, but when you are imputing data or information, it needs
to be entered in Computer Braille, I find this rather annoy because when I
am wanting to input data, I want to do it in my preferred grade, which is
Grade 2. The only work-around I have found is to block the entire
document off and dup it into a keyword document, then it will allow me to
enter the data in Grade 2. I hope there is a setting I am able to change,
so all of my entries are in Computer Braille unless I command it to take
Computer Braille. The place I find it's okay to use Computer Braille is
on the web or while doing email, not while writing a document. So, if
anyone knows of a setting or a more efficient work-around, please do
share.
Thanks,
Kevin
