I have found the following to be helpful when saving something, such as an offline web page or HTML Email, as an HTML document. Press control s or space with s to save the document. Choose the desired drive and folder. At the "file name?" prompt, press read with x or space twice, so that the BN says "all files". Type the file name followed by ".htm", without the quotes, and press enter.
The BN seems to have trouble with files with a .HTML extension, so I always use a .HTM extension. I hope these directions make sense, I've written this from memory. It won't work if you open it in Keyword. If this isn't the problem, we'll think of something else!
