I have found the following to be helpful when saving something,
such as
an offline web page or HTML Email, as an HTML document.
Press control s or space with s to save the document.
Choose the desired drive and folder.
At the "file name?" prompt, press read with x or space twice, so
that
the BN says "all files".
Type the file name followed by ".htm", without the quotes, and
press
enter.

The BN seems to have trouble with files with a .HTML extension,
so I
always use a .HTM extension.

I hope these directions make sense, I've written this from
memory.

Sarah

Hi Isaih,

Are you opening the documents you've saved in keyweb? It won't
work if you open it in Keyword. If this isn't the problem, we'll
think of something else!

Subject: [Braillenote] saving web pages

Hi list! Can someone please explain to me why it is that when I
attempt to save web pages to any other folder other than my
favorites, I can't seem to get the voicenote to read them
correctly? Even when I save the page as a .htm or .html file,I
still end up with lots of od characters and signs that I can't
interpret. However, if I save it to my favorites folder, the
contents of the saved page is read correctly. What am I doing
wrong here? Is it that I can only save web pages for off line
viewing in the my favorites folder? Thanks for your help. Isaih
