Hi, Robert writes: To make sure that your sd card is being formatted properly for the BrailleNote, with the sd card in the slot, go to the windows folder on the keysoft system drive and run the prepair sd card for upgrade option. You will then need to copy the upgrade file back to the sd card and try again.
That's exactly what I had to do. I'd originally just put the nk.bin on the SD card and followed the procedure as described. When doing the 4-6 reset, I got the ascending tones, with the menu to update the boot loader or update keysoft. I then did the 4-5 reset and nothing happened except for a few ascending tones and the unit froze. I had to do a service reset to bring the BN up, which kinda freaked me out. I must have tried this several times before it occurred to me to reformat the SD card. After doing that, then copying the nk.bin file to the card I did the upgrade procedure, everything went off without a hitch. It seems crazy to me to have had to reformat the card, but hey, that ultimately solved the problem.
