In a previous message I thought I read that you needed the boot loader. I think HumanWare really did not want us to upgrade, seems they did not take time to ensure the instruction page was correctly updated, and there seems to be some problems with getting the files to work, as in my situation and I have always done my upgrade without a hitch in the past back from when I first got my unit in January 2001 when upgrades
were free. Just put the nk.bin on an sd card, plug in your AC adapter, do a jk reset and the upgrade should be off and running.
