Hello Rhonda and list,
I would like to say, that this e-mail is very well put.
I would like to add, that I have spoken with some staff at
Humanware, and they have told me in the past, as recently as the
CSUN conference, that they have been working on the ability of
pdf capability, but Adobe has been the one that is dragging their
feet.
So, they said to talk to them, and let them know we want the
ability to do this on our braillenotes.
And one last thing, I would like to say, is that on top of the
ability to download html e-mails and open them right there and
read them, would be the ability to choose where you want to
download e-mail, such as a storage drive and so forth, this would
make saving e-mails where you wish easier.
Well, again, as Rhonda said, lets respect each others ideas, help
each other.
Regards,
Robert

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Vitally important suggestion for the
next upgrade
Hello List:
I've been following this thread, and read many, many messages.
Therefore, I'm hoping I won't have to say a lot, (grin)!
For those folks who have sighted help with checking, I can see
where certain programs wouldn't be required. However, if
programs will help in a persons independence, I believe it needs
to be looked at. The other thing I would say is, look at all of
the technology out there. Find out which one offers what
program, the ones that will meet your needs. Make your purchase
on what has the best programs for you. This doesn't help those
of us who have made purchases for the BN products, I realize
that. But, for those people who have not yet made equipment
choices, I would evaluate everything that is out there. I don't
have a computer; a good check-keeping program would really help
me. I have created databases, but as I have pointed out in
previous posts, when I reset, I lose the memory in my calculator,
or it will double up when I go to check it. There's no point for
me to go over that message again. However, we do need a good
solution.
I would like to see a good pdf program, because many of the
doctors reports I receive are in that format. I also receive
many of them in HTML format. These things are of concern to me.
I hope we use this list as a productive list, respecting each
other's opinion. Thanks for the read!
