Hi all,
Richard, you're right in that some people have physical difficulties
in placing small items into a machine, however, you're implication
that the issue is a mental one instead of a physical one isn't quite
fair. There are many younger folks with developmental disabilities
who use NLS books, and there are folks who are elderly whose mental
faculties aren't the brightest any more. However, I think the more
common issue is a physical one. Many people have arthritis and some
have problems related to CP, so although you are right in stating that
NLS needs to play to the "common denominator", it's not just a mental
issue.
