Well let me say this, the manual I downloaded is certainly out of date,
as there was no mention of the ability to connect a visual display via
bluetooth. Thanks very much for the clarification! Does anyone know
whether the manual will be updated and if so when? Thanks

Chris,
Contrary to the post, Bluetooth is in fact supported. Do the folowing:
1. On your mPower (or a new one), go to Options/Visual Display.
2. At the visual display prompt, type space with h (Help key on QT). This
will tell that Bluetooth is in fact supported.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Visual Display
BrailleNote includes the ability to hook it up to a visual display unit
and display the output in text form so that sighted teachers can view
what's being displayed on the BrailleNote. However, I don't believe
bluetooth is supported, only serial or infra-red connections are
available. If you want to hook it up to a PDA/other PC device, and use a
bluetooth connection, I think that's possible, but am not sure. Anyone
shed some light on this please? Thanks

Hello,
I need to gain visual access to what students are doing on a Braille
Note. What is the best way of doing this in a classroom setting?
Is it possible to use the Blue Tooth to communicate with an
inexpensive PDA laptop, or desk top computer? USB could work as well.
Thanks for your ideas,
Keith
