Thanks for the help. So let's say I decide to connect the braillenote
using the serial cable, what would Windows recognize it as? The same
goes for a bluetooth connection using a virtual serial port? Thanks

The current versions of JFW and I believe Window Eyes include the
necessary pc drives to use a BrailleNote as a Braille display or
speech synthesizer in their distribution CDs.
Not sure about HAL or Super Nova.
