I know it seems like I am dumb, but when I 2tried to plug the regular ethernet cable in to slot next to the two usb slots, it did not go. That's what made me think I needed a special kind of chord. Thanks. Sharonda

Ottawa Canada Dear Rusty and Sharonda: You can buy an Ethernet cord, called an Ethernet cable, at the friendly local computer store or Radio Shack. These cables are made to handle various speeds of Ethernet. I think the cable for the 5 megabits per second flavour of Ethernet is known as a Cat 6 Ethernet cable. Ethernet cables come in lengths of from about 6 feet to 100 feet. I have a 50 foot cat 6 cable and suppose it would work on a slower Ethernet connection. Hope this helps.
